Royalist ECW Cavalry c.1644

Just completed and added another Royalist cavalry regiment to my Cropredy Bridge 1644 collection. Not sure just yet which regiment this will be - I need to find my GMB Flags and choose a suitable one.

Tried to give a flavour of pistols and swords on this attacking/charging unit.

Some pics of the regiment. Once flag attached they are good to go!

The Regiment:

Individual bases:

Again, with the ECW stuff, a mix of Bicorne and Renegade Miniatures.

(Sedgemoor artillery gunners and all guns for King's Army completed bar the basing. And, half a dozen dismounted Royal Dragoons finished. Will post pics and progress of these next time!!)

ECW Green Coat Regiment

This is a Royalist Green Coat Regiment which could be any green coat regiment really.

Not much to say about this other than I was using (mainly) one of many Renegade Miniatures regiments I had bought quite a while ago when the figures worked out at about 49p each. The Officer pointing, drummer and odd other figure are from the Bicorne range.

The green coat is a Miniature Paints Dark Green and/or Vallejo Flat Green highlighted with Vallejo Olive Green.

Next up some Front Rank Sedgemoor figures I've been trying out - I just love anthing Sedgemoor!!

ECW Dragoons (2)

Here are the yellow and blue coat dragoons - could be used by either side during the war.

I've used all the dragoon castings I could find - when/if I find some more I'll do another 6 in blue coats giving 3 regiments of 9 men each. Command figs will be done at a later stage.

Next up some pics of my first real attemp at a unit of Claymore Castings 'Otterburn' figures - a unit of Scots. Despite my efforts not to spend this year and focus on the existing 'Metal Mountain' I have been swept away by this range and have started a small collection based largely on the collection of Dave Imrie (Saxon Dog.) which he and Andrew Taylor displayed at the Claymore Show this year.

Back from holiday and back to normal. Brushes and paints are all back in action.

Here are some ECW dragoons I've been doing - just completed the last few although some were done a while ago.
First batch are red coats - these will serve as Okey's Dragoons of the New Model Army.

Castings are from Renegade - these particular castings, if I'm honest, are not my favourites from Renegade but do look ok when painted and based.

These are based for 'Victory Without Quarter' rules by Quindia Studios.
